Star Breeze, the romantic and luxurious charm of traditional cruises

The Star Breeze ship by Windstar Cruises embodies elegance and adventure in a very refined manner. Built in 1989 at the Schichau Seebeckwerft shipyard in Germany, this luxury vessel has garnered attention for its extraordinary combination of comfort and style.

With a length of 134 meters and a width of 20 meters, the Star Breeze accommodates approximately 312 guests, ensuring a more exclusive, intimate, and personalized cruise experience. In 2020, the 134-meter Star Breeze was expanded (to the current length LOA of 159 meters) by cutting it in two and inserting a pre-built central section measuring 26 meters. The project was carried out at the Fincantieri shipyard in Port Palermo, Sicily.

While the Star Breeze offers typical Windstar experiences (such as the famous deck barbecue), it also promotes the company's product development initiative: intimate access to ports of call, themed cruises, and active interaction with local villagers. Onboard activities are limited and range from food market shopping to performances by local musicians. Common areas include the casino, library, computer center, WindSpa, fitness center, pool, and three hot tubs.

Various bars and lounges, designed for socializing, invite travelers to get to know each other. The complimentary service of premium wines and spirits enhances the club-like atmosphere both indoors and on the open decks, where passengers can find plenty of comfortable seating in the sun or shade. Windstar's attentive service includes a full bar service, mineral water spritzers, sorbets, and fresh fruit smoothies, along with iced towels and sunscreen. A couple of hot tubs adorn the sun deck, and the third is located forward on deck 5. In warm-water cruise destinations on certain days, the captain anchors off a stretch of beach and deploys the ship's fold-out marina for water sports, creating a private island resort for water skiing, sailing, swimming, or snorkeling directly from the ship.
