The Queen Anne embarked on her maiden voyage

The 249th Cunard-flagged ship, the Queen Anne, after her christening at the Southtampton cruise terminal on 1 May, set off on her maiden voyage of seven nights to Lisbon.

"The maiden voyage of the Queen Anne marks the dawn of a new era in luxury ocean travel and her historic departure from Southampton was a very special moment for all those associated with Cunard. Here in the UK and around the world, Cunard is famous for our beautiful and iconic Queens. With Queen Anne joining our fleet, it marks not only a new icon, but the completion of a perfect quartet alongside Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria," said Katie McAlister, President of Cunard.

As the latest addition to Cunard's fleet, the Queen Anne's design concepts were founded on tradition, craftsmanship, style, storytelling and innovation, and the 114,000-tonne ship, spanning 14 decks, will offer its 3,000 guests more breathtaking experiences and more entertainment, dining and bar choices than ever before.

Cunard has already announced a number of partnerships for Queen Anne, including Le Gavroche at Sea residences hosted by two Michelin-starred chefs Michel Roux, wellness packages curated by Harper's Bazaar UK beauty experts and exclusive screenings by the British Film Institute in The Pavilion.

It will also boast the widest selection of fitness, beauty, spa and wellness facilities ever seen on a Cunard ship, with its reinvented Mareel Wellness & Beauty offering heralding a new era of wellness at sea.
