Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled the evolution of the First Class with the brand-new Norwegian Aqua, the first of the Prima Plus class, expected in April 2025.
The company stated that the Norwegian Aqua will set new standards and offer guests fresh experiences, boasting an overall 10% increase in size and capacity compared to its sister ships. With a length of 1,056 feet, 156,300 gross tons, and a capacity of 3,571 guests in double occupancy, the Norwegian Aqua will provide more outdoor space and the highest level of staff on any new cruise ship.
“Norwegian Aqua is a true testament to the merger of what represents the future of our brand, the first ship of the Prima Plus class, and our commitment to push the boundaries in guest-centric experiences that will make new waves at sea,” stated David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line.
The Norwegian Aqua will feature a vibrant and colorful hull design created by NCL's first female lead artist, Allison Hueman. The design, titled 'Where the Sky Meets the Sea,' curated by Goldman Global Arts, evokes modern mythology through colorful mashups of abstract and figurative representations of the sea and sky, ruled by ancient goddesses.
