The Carnival Glory returned to service yesterday in Barcelona after 21 days in a dry dock. According to a company statement, the ship will embark on a 14-day Carnival Journeys transatlantic cruise to the new homeport of the ship, Port Canaveral, Florida.
Over the past three weeks, the ship has undergone numerous enhancements, including a new layout for the casino, refreshed decorations and furnishings throughout all public areas, and a new Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, a popular venue expanding across the Carnival fleet, honoring military veterans and active-duty members. Additionally, a Dreams photo studio has been added, and improvements have been made to the ship's spa.
The dedicated youth space on board, Camp Ocean, was redesigned for younger cruise passengers. A large video wall was added to enhance the Space Cruisers program, including a curriculum developed in collaboration with the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. The ship's warehouse game room has also been renovated. Guests will also notice updates to the ship's public areas.
On May 2, Carnival Glory will join Carnival Freedom, Carnival Vista, and Mardi Gras in Port Canaveral, where it will offer three- and four-day itineraries visiting the Bahamas, including Nassau, Freeport, Princess Cays and Bimini.
