Cagliari Cruise Port is the company responsible for managing the general services of the logistics platform for cruise ships in the port of Cagliari. It has also built a new terminal on Molo Rinascita, which was inaugurated on 21.07.2016.
As of November 2016, Cagliari Cruise Port became part of the Global Ports Holding network, the world's leading independent cruise terminal operator.
Their mission in Sardinia is to increase passenger traffic in the capital and make it a preferred destination for cruise lines, with the goal of becoming a homeport. To achieve this goal, Cagliari Cruise Port is committed to a constant promotion of the port, the city of Cagliari and the whole of South Sardinia through direct actions towards cruise lines, the organisation of FamTrips and participation in the main sector fairs.
The quantity and variety of tourist destinations available in and around Cagliari make this port incredibly promising. The area offers options for cultural excursions (archaeological sites), scenic trips (natural parks, marine protected areas, beaches) and food and wine experiences. Cagliari hosts lively events throughout the year that blend tradition and innovation, such as the four days dedicated to worship, devotion and folklore in honour of the patron saint Sant'Efisio.
With its two quays of 480 and 450 m in length, a width of 115 m and a depth of 11 m, it is one of the best cruise facilities in the Mediterranean. A transit and turnaround port, Cagliari is a key port in the Mediterranean, and can safely accommodate even large ships of the latest generation. The 630 m2 terminal is ready to receive passengers and handle baggage operations.
